Hey friends,
Hope you're all hanging in there. Remember when I said Mercury-retrograde-in-Gemini-season was kicking my ass? Right after that, my trusty 2015 laptop yeeted itself into a hell dimension. (I assume it's extremely uncool/old to say "yeeted" at this point but I don't know how to describe this situation other than "yeeted through the fish tube" or maybe "noped out of the entire situation.")
ANYWAY, now I'm on my good friend's trusty 2015 laptop instead, which runs much better because it has not been run into the ground and chewed on by various cats. I'm very very grateful to them for making it possible for my jobs to not come grinding to a halt! A hero! An icon! (Although I would kind of love an excuse to not answer any emails or do any work because wow the cis are asking for a LOT this Pride Month. I do not want to see or be seen by straight people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

ANYWAY! This week on the show, we caught up with our friend Carta Monir, who we first heard from in Episode 40. Patreon is once again trying to censor the words I can use to describe this episode, lmao, so I guess I'll dance around the thrust (lol) of the conversation and instead say that we talk about:
and so much more!!! I haven't gotten a ton of feedback on this episode yet — maybe because people are worried about publicly sharing the p0rN episode on main, which is fair — but I hope that you enjoy it if you have the chance to listen. Carta is such a joy and a gift (she literally coined the phrase "being trans is a gift"!) and it was such a treat to chat with her again for the podcast.
Speaking of feedback, here's a very sweet anecdote about someone sharing last week's ep with their mom.

Tomorrow, I'm doing back-to-back ~*~*~*Pride events~*~*~*~ and that leads me to a question for you! I'm interviewing Em Schulz, a person I am not familiar with, for ""It Gets Better: A Digital Pride Experience."" I'm going to write some questions after I'm done writing this newsletter, but if you have any familiarity with Em's work (they make the And That's Why We Drink podcast) and want to send a question, please feel free. The interview is taping tomorrow and will air.... next week sometime? I'm frankly not paying attention because there's simply too much Pride going on.
Speaking of which, I'm also doing an Instagram Live tomorrow with our friend Jeffrey Masters at the LGBTQ&A podcast. Jeffrey has consistently been a big supporter of Gender Reveal podcast (even going as far as to interview me on the show), and I'm excited to chat with him tomorrow (at 12:30pm PT, for anyone interested). The lineup also includes our friends Tre'vell Anderson and Carly Usdin, plus icons like Debbie Millman and Matt Rogers, so check out the whole thing if you're feeling it.

We're halfway through the month, which means we are halfway through June Merch. Grab it all here in the next two weeks or forever hold your peace! (This also is a reminder for me and my household, who hasn't ordered our More Kink at Pride merch yet. I'm wearing my Surf Don't TERF tank top right now though.)
Last but not least: Next week on the pod is gonna be a weird one! Instead of interviewing one (1) trans person, I'm interviewing two (2) cis people. But before you complain, let me tell you that these guests are both QUEER ADVICE ICONS that I was absolutely honored to speak with. I won't give too much away, so let me just say that they both had books come out recently, and also one of them famously tweeted, you guessed it, "yeet me through the fish tube."
OK my brain is fully off so I'm gonna go. I love you all very much. Happy Los Jibbities.
Here's your weekly Rhubarb.
