Beth Easton!! Sharkruisers! Nancy!

Hey friends,

Hope you're all doing OK out there (in there?). This week, I'm thrilled to share my chat with friend of the show Beth Easton. You may know Beth as the designer of our Support Trans Media shirts, but they're an artist, and activist, a nonbinary parent, an angry Sagittarius, and possibly a young queer elder.

I had so much fun chatting with Beth, and I hope you have fun listening, too. Y'all can follow Beth on Twitter and Instagram and buy their rad shirts on Teespring (see below).

I also highly recommend supporting Beth on Patreon. As a $10 patron, I get queer care packages every month in the mail, all the way from the UK! (Seems like a bad deal for them tbh, but I'm not complaining.) It's super dreamy all the time, but especially in quarantine.

This week on the show, I also shared my feelings about the Nancy podcast getting cancelled. (Spoiler: I am angry and bummed!)

Big thanks to Tobin and Kathy (and Matt and Zakiya and all the other queer producers and editors who have contributed) for creating more than 100 episodes about queer joy. I know that Nancy influenced so many lives, including mine, and I'm excited to hear what Tobin & Kathy do next.

(Fun fact: we're loosely collabing with Tobin on some pride merch, so get hyped!)

On a related note, I feel super fucking lucky to make a show that can't get cancelled at the whim of some straight cis white guy named Kyle, or whatever. And literally the ONLY reason I can do that is because of you! Yes, you, the person reading this

Thank you so so so much from the bottom of my heart. By supporting trans media like Gender Reveal, you're making it possible for our voices and stories to be amplified throughout the world, no matter how ""profitable"" we are (or aren't) to big brands rainbow-washing their vodka/underwear/whatever.

In other news! I finally made it to my P.O. Box today, and I was overwhelmed by all of the wonderful mail that y'all had sent in. There were scratch-and-sniff stickers, handmade cards, temporary fruit tattoos, and a typed letter written to Rhubarb. Amazing.

Also in the mail: An assortment of the best stamps I've ever seen. I can't decide which I love more, the holographic T. Rex or the Hot Wheels "Sharkruiser."

If you want to send us stamps or a letter or anything else, the address is as follows:

3519 NE 15th Ave #188
Portland, OR 97212

That's it for this week. Here's your weekly Rhubarb, in which she's checking out my new shelves to determine if she can eat and/or destroy this plant.

xo,
Yr resident gender detective
