Hopefully you guys follow on to Aliens aswell! There are quite a few good movies out there adapted from Stephen King novels that may be worth a watch if you ever get the time!

While I do love the movie, the book version of The Shining is way creepier and the better version of the story since it can fill in those gaps you guys felt in the movie. While Doctor Sleep, at least the extended version I’ve seen, is much better than the book. Closing it out with the destruction of the hotel in the same way as the book version of The Shining was a perfect touch.

I thought it wouldn’t live up to the shining but I didn’t mind at all. nostalgia hints sprinkled in with the original story made for a entertaining movie. I think on its own it would have been a good movie the little hints and scenes from the classic added a little bit more spice . Movie was well made could have done good on its own.
