Supreme Court pod! New totes & mugs! Instagram dates!

Friends! I hope you all had an extremely good National Coming Out Day! I have a long tradition of making increasingly less subtle posts on October 11— for many years, I simply made vague, affirming posts about LGBTQ folks, rather than come out personally. A year or two back, I finally got to the point where I just said, "hey, I'm gay and trans and tired."

This year, I wanted to figure out a way to escalate even further. So on Twitter, I came out as an extremely hot person. And on Instagram, I did something that I don't think I've ever done before in my life; I posted gross couple shots! Welcome 2 love island.

Follow @molly.woodstock on Instagram to see the other (extremely gross and incredibly gay) photo that I posted!  đŸ˜‡

Anyway! This week on the podcast, we talk about the current battle in the United States Supreme Court about whether it should still be legal to fire people for being queer or trans. I did my best to explain what's going on in a way that's short, accessible, and not entirely hopeless. Let me know how I did!

In other podcast news (OK, reminders), our Gender Reveal grant program is back and bigger than ever! We're giving away at least $1,500 in grants to folks who are doing rad work around gender education and/or trans support. Please apply now (or at least by October 31), and help us spread the word! That's at genderpodcast.com/grant

(Don't forget that this grant LITERALLY ONLY EXISTS because of your generosity!!!!! I love you so much, thank you thank you thank you thank you for making dreams come true.)

In merch news: We have new merch, and I'm obsessed with it! Cass Fountaine's "What the Hell is Gender?" design has been turned into a mug and a tote bag.

Perfect for gifts! Perfect for yourself! Perfect for protesting the Supreme Court! (Too soon?) I'm sorry the screenshot quality is so bad — I'm just bad at things sometimes, you know? Anyway, 50% of proceeds go to the Transgender Law Center, so that's cool!?!

In "Molly Woodstock press spree" news, I was interviewed by fellow genderqueer journalist Jon Dale Shadel about how Instagram is the only good dating app for trans people. Check out their resulting article in the Washington Post! (They assure me that their first draft was "more of a queer rage fest," but guess what? Cisgender editors are the worst!)

OK, you may be asking, what's up with the last episode of season four? Well friends... I don't know. It's taking a long time, and I keep having to remake different parts. I thought I'd maybe finish it tonight, but then we lost one of our cats. (They're fine now! Look at them! So perfect!)

Seven, the temporarily lost cat who is now safe and warm, is on the left. There's your weekly Rhubarb on the right. Photo taken by my perfect roommate.

Anyway, the new episode is coming! Any day now! I promise! And then season five will be right around the corner.

Thank you for your patience and your overwhelming support. None of this would be happening without you. I have big news for you coming up, and I can't wait to share it with you ASAP. Hang in there, support each other, I love you!

XOXO,

Yr resident gender detective
