Y'all, I'm trying to write a newsletter but I can't stop reading tweets about 30-50 feral hogs.
Related, here I am holding a teeny tiny newborn piggy! If you love piggies like meeeeee, follow along at @pnw150pigrescue and maybe send them a few dollars to help them support 3̶0̶-̶5̶0̶ ̶f̶e̶r̶a̶l̶ ̶h̶o̶g̶s̶ 250 very good piggies.

OK, this week on the podcast, we speak with the very smart Morgen Bromell about all things dating-related. Morgen is the creator of Thurst, a dating & connection app for queer folks of all genders. We talked about how other dating apps fail queer, trans, Black, brown, and Indigenous folks — particularly those with less power and fewer resources — and how Thurst aims to address those inequities. We also learned about Morgen's experience as a nonbinary tech CEO, and much moooore.

If you try Thurst out, let us know what you think!

In other podcast news, there are only three days left to buy this completely ridiculous novelty Gender Reveal pillow! Proceeds benefit our graphic designer, Michelle, as well as The Okra Project. As a wise person once said, yolo homo.

And in mooooore podcast news, we had the honor of interviewing Maia Kobabe at eir Books With Pictures event last week! It was so delightful to spend time with Maia in person after interviewing em for Gender Reveal. We also had the chance to hang out with all of our rad friends at the Nib.

This is the part of the newsletter where I show you photos of my cats.

(Those last two photos were stolen from my roommate, they reserve all legal and bragging rights.)
Next week on the podcast, we brighten up the mood with an interview with cartoonist Emma Jayne! Expect 85% of the episode to just be me laughing very hard 7 feet away from the mic.
And hey. I know it's rough out there. Take care of yourself and check in on each other, OK? I love you so much!
xoxo,
Yr resident gender detective
