Friends! In this week's podcast episode, I chat with Callie Wright, creator of the fantastic podcast Queersplaining. Callie talks with us about:
- re-re-exploring your gender (and knowing when to stop thinking about it for a bit)
- shifting away from traditionally feminine presentation as a trans woman
- bringing atheist activism to LGBTQ spaces and vice versa
- the value of crying on your own podcast
and moooooore!

In addition to being a wonderful podcast guest, Callie also makes a wonderful trans podcast of her own! If you like and subscribe to Gender Reveal, I strongly suggest that you subscribe to Queersplaining for more good gay content in a more polished narrative form. Find the show wherever you get Gender Reveal.
Callie and her wife are in a tight financial situation right now, so if you have an extra couple dollars to spare every month, maybe consider supporting Queersplaining on Patreon as well. We love trans mediaaaa!!!!!!

In other podcast news, I've been doing a bunch of season 4 interviews lately, including multiple spring 2019 grant recipients and grant selection committee member Jery! You might know Jery as the founder of Stick to Resist or as a friend in the Gender Reveal slack. I'm really excited to have them on the show.

Jery was in town selling their very excellent stickers and pins at the Mississippi Street Fair in Portland. We both got to meet a few friends of the show there, too! What a time to be alive.

The stickers! They're good! You can purchase them for virtually no money! Anyway, here's the part where I show you pictures of my cat, Rhubarb.

She's a long girl.

Also my friend is pet-sitting for an axolotl and I thought you should know????

Next week on the show... I don't know which chat I'm airing yet, actually. Maybe I'll share another one of our grant winner interviews. Maybe I'll interview this axolotl. Anyway, it will be TRANS and GOOD and that's all that matters!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your support and also your patience with The Way That I Am. I love you a lot.
xoxo,
Yr resident gender detective
