Friends! This weekend felt so strange—I wasn't on deadline editing a podcast, so I was able to go to a show, spend time in the sun with friends, go on a cute date, and even read a few pages of a book! Wow, is this what being a person is like? (Spring! It's here!)

Anyway, because I miss you very much (for real!), I thought I'd try writing a newsletter every week during the break. I use the word "newsletter" very loosely, because I feel like that term is often used for letters that contain, you know, news. Whereas this is just disjointed thoughts. A thoughtletter, if you will.

Here's a thought: Did you know that there's an entire genre of greeting cards for straight people to give to gay people?

I'm sorry if that image is upside down. I'm bad at newsletters. But anyway, you KNOW that queer people aren't buying these for each other! In the words of several smart people, I hate all of you and I'm still gay.

In other news, friend of the show Archie Bongiovanni sent me this beautiful care package full of their zines and even their famous game Sweatgasm! My whole house is SO excited to play. You can buy Archie's merch (including this very good shirt) at badrealbad.threadless.com, and you can buy Sweatgasm via our friends at Shebop. 10/10 would recommend.

What else? Well, Gender Reveal won an award!!!!!! So that's wild!!!!! Thank you, XRAY.fm!

ALSO WILD: I am honored to be part of the 2019 Third Coast Residency cohort. I'll be spending a week in May hanging out with mega-talented radio babes and working on an audio story about my mom meeting her mom for the first (technically second) time. It's my first proper narrative piece and I'm so excited. (It's also very emotionally intense to work on this story because it's so personal to me and it's still unfolding and it's just so much. ALSO I get misgendered literally dozens of times in the tape! Possibly hundreds! Welcome to hell!)

I could ramble on forever, but I'll leave you with this attached video of human angel Donna Missal singing in an *NSYNC shirt. She's so wildly talented and kind and you should all have a crush on her!!!

I'll be back next week with more feelings about everything! Have a good one.

XO,
Molly
