2 episodes a week would be great if you guys have the time. I know what you mean with L feeling more "real". Light feels more ingenuine because he wears the mask of the "perfect son", the "perfect student" and the "perfect brother". He just feels very flawless in his manner of speech and the way he acts. While L is the complete opposite because it feels like he doesn't really care how he looks or is perceived by others (although i wouldn't say L's behavior is normal lol but u get what i mean)
