When she says confetti and it makes sense and she gives that little giggle it was just AMAZING. In that instant I say baby Nell and the adult she had become. Such good acting

It's beautiful. When Nell is talking about how no matter how all could or couldn't have done better, it doesn't change the fact that she loved them and they loved her I lost it.

I think every time I watch this episode I cry the whole time, regardless of how many times i've seen it. I lost my dad to suicide when I was a kid so it all hits way too close to home.

also my favorite part of this episode is just that subtle detail of nellie existing out of time in like a non-linear fashion? like "confetti" y'know? because when she's talking to her siblings in the red room she's begins by saying things out of order and nonsensical but as the conversation continued those things she was saying were given meaning, just like the show is told in a nonlinear fashion with all these answers to questions we haven't asked yet and so we don't realize they're answers it's just beautiful

One of my favourite theories is that Horace Dudley's father is William Hill. His mother worked at hill house and remember his speech about how she ran through the woods giggling like a school girl in love? This also kind of ties Abigail in. Who held her hand? Hazel hill, who Clara took care of until her death? Maybe Horace's mother but she also hated Hill House so I don't think she died on the property. Very possible it's not true but it kind of ties up the loose ends nicely for me.

honestly one of my favorite series, i'm so thankful that you guys reacted to this series otherwise i never would have gotten around to watching it! literally so beautiful and poetic and cathartic it's honestly amazing
