The spell Grindlewald used at the end is actually a protection spell. It's called Protego Diabolica. It's the most advanced protection spell. It's not related to fiend fire.

I’m watching right now and I totally agree that Jude Law’s performance as Dumbledore is honestly a perfect mirror of Michael Gambon’s Dumbledore. Even down to the accent that’s a mix somewhere between English and Irish. The way he gestures and everything are SO Dumbledore!! Btw, just to let you know, in deathly hallows, Grindelwald was imprisoned at Nurmengard Castle, (not Azkaban) which was actually built by Grindelwald himself to hold his enemies. He aimed to make it the strongest prison ever, which is funny because after his defeat, (not spoilers because you saw he was imprisoned in Deathly Hallows) he was sent there, which made it impossible for him to escape. He literally designed his own prison 😂😂 Also the first movie took place in 1926, coincidentally the birth year of Voldemort! So this movie takes place a year after! Sorry for so much lore! I just love the HP franchise so I know wayyy too much about it, lmao! Honestly If you have any questions about the Wizarding World, totally feel free to ask me! Haha! Edit: In canon, Dumbledore was the transfiguration teacher, but bc they included Minerva (who wasn’t born until around 1935) I guess they changed him to Defence against the dark arts. And also, yes, confirmed by JK that Dumbledore is gay (2007,) and that him and Grindelwald were lovers (2018-2020? Around those years,) though I believe she confirmed their relationship earlier than that, but she made headlines between 2018-2020 because she went more into depth about how they had an “intense sexual relationship” and some other details!
