Yeah the movies leave it too ambiguous as to how Harry survived again. It's definitely the biggest thing the movies didn't explain well. Some people think it was the stone, others think it's because of the elder wand, but until you've read the books, you won't discover the true reason. Unless someone has already spoilt that for you. Lol

Dude, by far my favorite in the whole series.

Well to be fair, the movies don't do a crazy good job of explaining why he DOES come back

Every single person who watched Harry potter thinks the resurrection stone can bring him back to life but when we find out about the 3 deathly hallows we know that it can’t bring people back to life

Snape's silence, ensured Harry's victory. Snape made sure to send Voldemort into battle with a wand that doesn't work, by not telling him the true owner of the wand. The ultimate sacrifice, from such an amazing, yet tragic, character.

Hell yeah!!!

MY HEART IS FUCKING BROKEEEEN, i loved your reactions so much. Great job. Slytherin for snappee!

The best moment ever!!

I figured it tied into Voldemort somehow. That’s cool lore. Yeah I’m surprised nothing was spoiled tbh

I didn’t know that patronus changed like that. I kinda wish I did cause it would’ve made that more impactful

Some important things left out of the final movie - literally everything about that woman in the painting at the Hog's Head. Her name is Ariana Dumbledore, younger sister of Albus and Aberforth. She was born with Magic but one day was badly beaten by muggles who saw her doing magic and tried to make her stop. Those are the muggles Albus' father attacked and which Muriel mentioned at the wedding. Ariana refused to do magic from then on but it went inward and made her deeply unstable. It would explode out of her when she couldn't control it. One day, while the other Dumbledore children were at Hogwarts (Ariana never went) she had a tantrum that ended in the death of her mother. Albus came home after graduation at Hogwarts and became the sole breadwinner for his family - until he met Gellert Grindelwald. He fell madly in love with Grindelwald and helped him plan things until Aberforth confronted them and said Ariana was in no fit state to go with them. The argument escalated into a duel which ended in the tragic death of Ariana, which also shattered Albus's illusions of muggle dominance. Her story is so tragic and I'm so sad that it couldn't work in the film

"Tom Riddle hit the floor with a mundane finality, his body feeble and shrunken."

Hi guys! so this was a very nice reaction to the saga's end. We can now say to you that YES you guessed right about a lot of things haha So to talk a little bit more about Snape, a patronous can change during a wizard's life because of big changes or love. So Snape took Lily's patronous because of his undying love for her. But other characters had a change of patronous, like Tonks when she fell for Lupin (hers became a wolf lmao) Also an anecdote about the big reveal of Snape being in love with Lily: we could've known from the beginning! In the first film (and book) he asked Harry about asphodel and wormwood, in "flowers language" asphodel is a type of Lily (what a coincidence) and means "regrets of the past" and wormwood "absence", so Snape, on their first acounter litteraly said that he was still mourning Lily which makes him the ultimate best character haha I hope you'll do the books review there are so many great things that were not said like the marauders full story (which is one of the best) or Neville Longbottom Looking forward for this journey you're having in HP's world :) - friends from France

The last confrontation with Voldemort in the book is so much better than the movie. Voldemort dies very differently and it’s WAY better!

Also Harry, Snape and Voldemort represent the Deathly Hallows like the three brothers in the story Hermione told. Snape died for love, Voldemort died for power, Harry was the one who “greeted Death like an old friend.” And Dumbledore is thought to be the character “death.” Insanely good metaphors in this story

Dumbledore definitely put the greater good before Harry. In fact, it’s thought that he put the resurrection stone in Harry’s snitch that he left to him JUST IN CASE Harry got scared and hesitated before walking to his death. He knew that seeing his parents and friends ghosts would convince him to keep moving forward.

hi just to clear something up, lily's patronus was a doe, matching james' patronus which was a stag (just like harry's) and snape's patronus was a doe because he loved lily so much, his happiest memories were of her, and so his patronus never changed (which they can do) over the course of his entire life.

leila

Damn right Snape is the best character.

im so happy nobody spoiled snapes memories for you guys haha. snape is by far the best character in the series. when i first watched i genuinely thought he was evil after he killed Dumbledore so the reveal was too much for me. but you guys caught on that something was up so nice eye. when harry died the ugly baby Voldemort was the horcrux that died with harry. i just always thought that was insane and disturbing because it shows what living a life like Tom Riddle had can do to a persons soul. in the books they say if you split your soul into a horcrux you can bring it back only by truly feeling remorse for the murders you committed. but obviously Voldemort would never, and his soul suffered consequences for it, and i think this was one of the deep reasons why he feared death so much. also when harry broke the wand i think its a symbolic death of the need for power, which is everything Voldemort stood for. Ron was like "we could be invincible with that" but Harry understood more than anyone what power can do to a person. this was one of my fav movies in the series. see you on fantastic beasts and other movies ✌🏻

Snapes patronus was a doe to match lilys patronus. When he showed his patronus to Dumbledore, Dumbledore was shocked that his patronus never changed from lilys. Snape said "always" when Dumbledore said "lily?" because he still loved her and always would :((( *CRIES*
