Artistic Challenge #2 - WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT!
Added 2021-09-19 14:23:44 +0000 UTCToday we are happy to announce the winner of our second Artistic Challenge! We would like to thank you all for submitting so many beautiful artworks.
The criteria for judging this year’s landscape challenge included among other things the capacity of the artists to convey the breadth of a landscape within the visual frame of the canvas or panel, along with the capacity to tell the whole story of the view in front of them. Composition and design are fundamental to this quest.
We hope the summer challenge will see a few artists venturing into painting fall foliage and perhaps a snowy landscape!

"I’m an Edinburgh, coastal-based artist and most of my work is from within 20 miles of my home. There is not a lot of sunshine so moody charcoal features heavily. However, when the sun does pop out the dust covered tubes get a squeeze!"
