Dear Patreons,

Thank you for your generous support!

Please enjoy this first Art History Podcast we have created for you from a lecture recorded at The Florence Academy of Art campus.

During this lecture our history director Tom Richards analyzes four paintings by Jusepe de Ribera depicting St. Bartholomew.

The FAA founder and director Daniel Graves speaks about the unique quality of flesh in Ribera's work.

To follow along with the visuals mentioned in the podcast we have provided images of the paintings and their timestamps below:

I remember seeing his st Andrew at Prado and being ao shocked by how much life that painting has and exactly as Daniel says, you can feel the light through the painting. Breathtaking!

Thank you so much Jenny :)

A wonderful way to be inspired to think laterally and dig deeper from the other side of the world. The richness of the FAA and its commitment reaches so far:-)
