Stray Kids were presented to the world through the survival program with the same name. They debuted on March 25, 2018. The group consists of 8 members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.

Three of the members (Bang Chan, Changbin and Han) are part of the rap/hip hop sub-unit called 3RACHA. This unit writes, composes and produces the majority of Stray Kids’ songs.

ABOUT THE ALBUM

On March 18, 2022, Stray Kids released their mini-album “ODDINARY” and held an online press conference. Bang Chan, the leader, said:

"Everyone has their own odd inside of themselves".

He calls this the inspiration behind their latest EP, Oddinary, a combination of the contradictory words 'odd' and 'ordinary’."We wanted to express that being odd is completely normal."

All of the members participated in composing and writing lyrics for different tracks.

VENOM — Official Music Video

This song talks about their struggle with fame and how they are getting addicted to the overwhelming love they receive from fans. It has become a double sided sword, as it tastes sweet but it gives them a lot of pressure as well. It's a situation they willingly walked into, and one they don't want to leave, but it can be seriously toxic at times.

MANIAC — Performance Video

It's the title track of the album and it sums up the concept of embracing your 'Oddinary'. It’s okay to be you and be different from others. You should let the "maniac" inside you out and not let the perception of what's "normal" control you.

CHARMER — Lyrics Video

Taking inspiration from the story of the “Pied Piper”, they created a song to show off in a fun way, the confidence and pride they have gained as a group throughout all these years.

FREEZE — Official Music Video

This song is about freeing yourself from situations or obstacles that could freeze you and make you get stuck in your own life. Using the Korean word for unfreeze throughout the song, they motivate us to shake it all off and move forward in spite of what we may encounter.

Note for the lyrics: Ddang means unfreeze in this context.

LONELY ST. — Official Music Video

In an interview, Changbin (one of the composers of the group), said: “This song makes me think about how even though the road I’m on may be a lonely and tiring one, because I’m the one who chose this road, I’m also the one who has to encourage myself to keep pushing forward. It reminds me once again of the reason why I chose this road and what meaning it has to me”

WAITING FOR US — Lyrics Video

Subunit song: (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin and I.N)

In an interview, Seungmin (the main vocalist of the group), when asked about the meaning of the song, said: “We filled this song with our sincere emotions of missing our fans, who we haven’t been able to see for a long time, and the happiness we feel after being able to meet fans during this season called spring, as well as our sincere promise to cherish our fans for a long, long time”

I.N (the youngest member of the group) added: “We wanted to give our STAY a warm message through this song”

Note: STAY is the name of Stray Kids’ fandom.

MUDDY WATER — Lyrics Video

Subunit song: (Changbin, Hyunjin, HAN, Felix)

The song refers to the struggles one faces when trying to improve or bring new energy to something that has been established for so long, it has gone rotten. Through this song, they declare their ambition to be that new rainwater that falls over the muddy water.
