It's annoying that newer ARMYs had to compound that by siding with the antis who were trying to pull BTS down. The song is merely a fun song talking about teenage hormones because guys at that age really go through it and BTS only wanted to really talk about the dark & wild times of teenage years, and yes, hormones is a part of that. They don't even glorify it which is clear in the title that it is a WAR on their hormones, it's something they battle with. The antis and the media started calling it misogynistic and some ARMYs was like, YES HATERS, YOU'RE RIGHT.

2021-12-08 17:40:40 +0000 UTCI can't help but comment that it gets on my nerves so much how some ARMYs keep spreading that War of Hormones has questionable lyrics and is problematic. It is just a fun song with tongue-in-cheek humour, there is nothing problematic about it. As a fan you should know that BTS get hate for literally anything and War of Hormones was no exception. If you personally don't like the lyrics, that's fine. But it's just not true that the song is problematic. It's just one of those issues that the haters blew up and some fans keep the issue alive. It's especially ridiculous when you tell an American reactor that the song is problematic when literally 95% of all US pop music have much stronger language than this song. It's no wonder the boys don't perform it anymore after all the hate and outrage they got over absolutely nothing.
