I got so much more enjoyment out of Map of the Soul: 7 when I checked out their earlier music! (MotS:7 was the album that got me into BTS) The songs intro: persona, interlude: shadow and outro: ego all samples from their school trilogy albums. Boy with luv is a direct response to Boy in luv, ON calls back to N.O and no more dream, We are Bulletproof: the eternal is the continuation of we are bulletproof pt 1 and 2β¦. And there are probably more callbacks than what I could name from the top of my head as well ππ

BTS have a tendency of performing lots of old music because their art is very much an exploration of their personal growth and artistic journey. So there are lots of references to older songs in newer songs but also in performance concepts and setlists. Their 2020 album Map of the Soul 7 is all about their (then) seven years since debut and you will notice samples from their debut album there. They still perform tracks from their debut time as well and ARMYs love them.

I'm not sure if it was the case in this concert, but they do have a live band on some concert series. If not they do have amazing stage mixes of their songs.

2021-10-14 03:39:20 +0000 UTCBulletproof Pt. 1 is a predebut song RM wrote. It was originally sung with supreme boi & iron who were part of original bts lineup. Both left. Supreme boi quit group because he just wanted to produce & he still produces for bts till today. Iron sadly has passed away. Bulletproof part 1 is not on any bts album but was released on their soundcloud for their 2nd anniversay with all 7 members
