This is a wonderful song. The whole Vokerball concert is great. I have it on DVD. Stein um Stein is one of my favorites. They also did Stripped at that concert which is a Depeche Mode cover.

I'm Sorry to hear that. I started going grey and loosing my hair. at a young age. It used to have trouble with mirrors too. Over the. years I have just. learned to embrace it. Theres nothing I can do about it. Obviously Body Dysmorphia is much more serious than going bald and hate to compare the two. I guess what I'm trying. to say is I understand to a degree. Physical appearances really make no difference in the end. People will Love and respect you based on what kind of person you are. Everything else is just surface non sense.

Oh... this is one of my top 5 Rammsteinsongs. There is so much in this song to like! First and foremost, I LOVE the drums. Schneider really shines here, although it seemed like that didnt really come through in the video. Please just have a listen to the original audio track to see what I mean. Second, Venus is often referred to as the morning star, and I seem to remember some sort of connection between Venus and Lucifer, but not sure about that one. Anyways, Its a really ugly girl who hides from the daylight. If it is due to the fact that she doesnt want to be seen or that she doesnt want to scare it away, I dont know. She prays to the morning star för beauty. But then the song changes perspective, and a man tells us that he sees with his heart and that she is beautiful. But... yes. Humans see not with their hearts, but rather their eyes. The performance is from their live dvd "Völkerball" which was released in 2006.

Thank you for posting this again Jim. You reacting to this got me to see this song for the first time. I have severe Body Dysmorphia so I struggle to look in mirrors or do anything that involves showing my face anywhere so in a sad way this song feels quite personal to me. It's quite emotional to me.
