Loved this movie club movie, it was one that I enjoyed but can also agree with the criticism. I was thinking that he ended up murdering his wife and daughter cause of everything that happened with them trying to leave. I look forward to the next one!

Only 4 minutes in and going off memories of years ago. But I had the opposite reaction of Trevor when I first saw the movie. I went in excited for monsters, got a entirely different type of monster than I was expecting. Was disappointed shortly after the end until my perspective switched up. I thought it was awesome to have a contained, almost 'normal', side story to a monster apocalypse. Ever since I've really enjoy stories or movies in settings and with backgrounds that almost have nothing to do with the contained plot. They're rare enough I can't think of another example off the top of my head, but it's fun to see a broken off take on established franchise. Completely understand why I'm the odd one out though. Gonna back to listening xD P.S. As an example imagine a fake reality TV show where they just dropped lore in the background about a orbital research station crashing. Turns out that station was holding Aliens and by the end you know everything you just watched including the winners passionate speech are just dust in the wind cause that planet is gonna be history. I would love that story.
