To answer Fredo's horsepower question: James Watt was a Scottish inventor who was working on improving steam engines in the late 18th century. He needed a way to compare the power of his engines to the power of the horses that were commonly used for work at the time. So, Watt set out to measure the work that horses could do. He observed horses working in mills, walking in circles & turning a central shaft. He estimated that a horse could pull with a certain force & travel a certain distance in a given time. Based on his observations, Watt defined one horsepower as the equivalent of the energy expended by a single horse raising 33,000 pounds of water one foot in the air from the bottom of a 1,000 foot deep well in 60 seconds. This gave Watt a way to quantify the power of his steam engines & compare them to the work of horses. This helped him market his engines to potential customers who were used to using horses for various tasks. Horsepower is a unit of power, not a direct measure of a horse's strength. Horses can actually produce much more than one horsepower for short periods of time. But Watt's definition provided a useful benchmark for comparing different sources of power. Over time, the concept of horsepower was refined & standardized, but its origins lie in Watt's efforts to compare the power of his steam engines to the work of horses.

Fun fact, these guys are the inspiration for the design of the Pokemon Sableye

I am surprised Trevor did not have an "I told you" moment when the Owl theory was revealed.

More importantly, Alfredo, why do horses have on average 7.3 horsepower instead of 1 horsepower? 🤔

Raven

I think it's also because horses were more commonplace than Cheetahs. Especially during the time steam engines were first being invented and becoming popular among the public.

Raven

There's one angle that no one thought of what about if it was aliens that were transporting zoo animals and they had to make an emergency landing and then when they landed some of the animals got out and then that's what they encountered the encounter some of the animals and not the actual aliens

Mysticsmoke420

Cheetahs are sprinters, they don't maintain that speed for long periods of time. Cars were competing with horse drawn carriages and wagons. So the horse power was the comparison.

Sabbs

They really said "So anyways I started blasting!"

Dinkleberg65

I feel like this is the one Fredo has been waiting for...

The Void

I always did like the description of the creatures in this case.
