You voted for it, so here it is! This Halloween you wanted more insight on our research from our past Halloween special: the ghost investigation of Pennhurst Asylum. This was our first interstate ghost hunt and it kicked off with all sorts of ominous omens like runes carved in trees and a swarm of bats overhead.
The history of Pennhurst led to important civil rights cases so just a heads up, this case has some pretty harrowing stories and graphic images/video.

I grew up 20 min from here and I loved when y’all went there. Back in 2007-09 when we were teenagers, my friends and I used to “find our way in” beyond the fenced off areas and wander through it for many hours of the night. And this was back when homeless people would sometimes take shelter inside the tunnels. Some truly scary encounters we went through back then.
