Ill Doctrine Radio 4/22/23: The Last Ride in Brooklyn
Added 2023-05-18 01:16:00 +0000 UTCHey y'all, before we get to this batch of uploads let me say: I was shocked to see that it's been since late February that I last posted here! I knew it had been a while but would've never guessed it had been that long.
This does track almost exactly, though, with Wallace being diagnosed with this rare, maddeningly elusive and intractable illness, and much as I feel self-conscious about being seen as "crazy cat person" when I talk about it, this plunge into caregiving life really has turned the past couple months into a blur. I can only imagine what this is like for those of you who've been on this journey with/for a beloved human in your life <3
All that said, I'm still committed to making this a more productive, more connected year on here, and my incredibly resilient buddy is stable enough right now that I'm gonna try and start that journey anew this week. So look for a couple more Railroad uploads right after this, and some initial forays back into the video realm soon after.
And for now, please enjoy this special episode which was our last ever broadcast from the Bondfire studios in Brooklyn, that sadly closed up at the end of April. We had a bunch of family in the house for this one including a convo with my partner on the Think Twice: Michael Jackson podcast, the esteemed Leon Neyfakh. I'm gonna hold off on doing playlists while I get through these past few weeks of backlog, so let me know if you need help ID-ng anything you hear!

So sorry to hear Wallace is having these troubles. Thinking of you both. It's so hard when lil cats are ill. πββ¬β€ Thanks for the upload.
