I don't know, this is really buggy. Lately I made a piece and there it worked again. Perhaps try it in a new scene and check your settings for the material baking again...

2024-07-16 10:40:49 +0000 UTCHey Vincent, I think I may be encountering this bug you mentioned when baking the vertex map.... All was well and good until the point of previewing the vertex map in the 'Options' window inside the 'Bake Material' tag. I don't see a pattern there but just a black square. Any idea why this might be happening? (I tried to recreate the steps a few times but no luck:( )
