Tutorials Feedback
Added 2023-05-14 11:21:04 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
over the years I tried out different ideas and styles of teaching.
I want to know what you liked or what doesn't work so well, so that I can improve in the future.
What was also your favorite tutorial?
Thanks for the help,
all the best.
Vincent

2023-05-19 22:24:19 +0000 UTCI would love to see how is your workflow with camera movements in the final shots, (time remapping, speeding cameras, curves, etc), and your approach speaking about music, rhythm and design... focused on this topic!

2023-05-17 18:51:43 +0000 UTCI think more production focused workflows, as well as organisation and planning large scale projects would be more helpful. I agree with the comments above where you have taught us all the skills, and how do we take it to the next level in terms of production!

2023-05-16 20:38:14 +0000 UTCHello Vincent, I believe your style of art applied to C4D is very inspiring, and to see behind the scenes how to do you make this possible is one of the reasons I'm your fan. The troubleshooting for me is where I get stuck most of the time. I'm not very savvy with C4D, and trying to make something from scratch with all the possibilities that C4D offers can be pretty intimidating. I'm looking forward to more of your stuff

2023-05-15 15:50:20 +0000 UTCI agree with all the praise! You have done such an incredible job here I'm impressed you keep uploading so consistently. Personally I've loved all the softbody work and abstract renders, that was one of the reasons I signed up - but I kind of feel you have taught us all we need to know here. Of course there's always more to learn, but as far as the basic technique and concept you have provided such an amazing library of content already. I'm more and more interested in the general processes and workflow now, for example your collabs have been great and the workshop was awesome. Project breakdowns would be great as well, with a focus on the art direction. I'm looking forward to see whatever you decide to do, it will be great for sure!

2023-05-15 14:20:42 +0000 UTCFirst, I’d like to say I appreciate all the knowledge you share here, it’s really such a great resource for learning C4D and design in general. I hope you’re feeling better lately health-wise as well! As far as the Patreon, I’d love more insight into your compositing/post-production workflow, specifically in DaVinci Resolve. I really struggle with that aspect in my projects. You may have already covered this in your multi-part series—I haven’t completed those yet.

2023-05-15 13:55:52 +0000 UTCHey Vincent, isn't it just like you to take a Design-centric (aka Human-centric) approach to your Patreon - nice. I agree with Nic, the abstract soft-bodies are clearly a fixture in your personal/professional creative vernacular, and that is a hard thing to accomplish, (so congratulations) and yet, you have such a broad range as well - I'd very much appreciate seeing your workflow from the Brief-to-your-post workflow/finished production-render renders/collab'd file sharing sites. You and Vitaly have touched on this in the past and it was a good start. Regardless, whichever direction you take, I'm confident it'll be interesting/educational/inspiring. Keep up the good work, and continue to take deliberately good care of yourself and your people.

2023-05-15 03:03:23 +0000 UTCHi Vincent! Really appreciate all you've done with your teaching and tutorials. While I do love all the abstract forms and textures along with the more artistic compositions – it could be nice to see your approach around some more commercial 3D projects that also incorporate showcasing a device or product and the challenges/opportunities that presents, even using a mock brief. For example a series on how you might work with creating a 10sec spot from concept to comping. I personally would love an insight into how you manage a project like that where you have to think about more about a sequence. Just a thought! Either way very much looking forward to wherever you go next.

2023-05-14 22:52:33 +0000 UTCHello Vincent, the collabs tutorials are absolutely fantastic I agree with above. I am quite a beginner and I am addicted to your Patreon, this is such a great ressource for me (sometimes I'm even worried that someday you are going to stop haha (please don't!!)). If I had one tiny feedback is that there was maybe one or 2 times where I was a little bummed that there was no redshift continuation to the C4D tutorials?... But it also forced me to be more creative and keep going on my own so, probably for the best. Otherwise, all perfect, also I love the Sound packs by Jürgen, it's such a great final touch to my 3D work, candy for the ears and for the eyes ;)

2023-05-14 18:55:24 +0000 UTCBetween you and Ross Mason you’ve basically refaced a large portion of the industry overnight. It’s incredible really you deserve a lot of credit. The work ethic is nothing short of mental. You both brought Modernism to the forefront of what once was a bloated marvel action title gui hud laden biz. It was a much needed refresh and in no small part to your refined sophisticated aesthetics alone. I can’t really go anywhere now where I don’t see you or Ross’s flavor. It’s everywhere now especially because less is more in a time when people expect more for less. If I see another product with a tight spread area light I might crack. Joking! You’re a wonderful teacher and you put just as much work into your tutorials as the work itself. The amount of time this has to take you is total devotion. To be that good seems always a double bind because now everything is partly influenced by you. What I’m getting at is consider taking a long break you deserve it you changed the game. Take time to find new aesthetics to explore and come back when you’re well rested. Now no one probably wants to hear that on patreon but someone has to at least put that out there for you because again jeeze like what more can anyone expect from you? I think your most successful tutorials are the workshop series especially the iii one that gave life to a box as a vacuum cleaner—absolute masterpeace in all areas of technicality, idea, and aesthetic. The guest appearances are fun especially I go by zak’s masterclass. Can someone please ask zak to do a patreon? He’s one of the best, recreating expressionist photography is still on the frontier. You clearly put a lot of time into your research and inspiration would be interesting to see you look less and objects and more at people. Also it doesn’t seem like too many people explore typography in c4d (yes ok balloon text but oof enough already can we get sergey shurupov to teach us how he made that paper shredder typography?) which could be an interesting route… your latest post on ig would be a great tutorial “another layer of truth” I don’t think the ArchViz stuff works both you and Ross have gone this route lately and it’s just not very interesting you know unless you add some soft body goodies but that said I can see how these could be useful to others it’s just not for me. The midjourney arch stuff you’re doing is far more interesting in that genre. I’m getting very long winded here I’m sorry! but all that said I just want to thank you for everything so far. it’s an honor and a privilege to be a subscriber. Your kindness and passion shine like caustics in real time. Just keep doing you. Looking forward to wherever you go next. You’re brilliant! Much love.
