Thank you so much, Vincent and Alexandre!

Hi Dmitry, I also started with no experience around 2 years ago. I think you can start by creating projects on behance, creating the kind of work that you really want clients to give you. If your portfolio is good enough you can then ask studios and agency if they need a helping hand from a begginer. That's how I got my first projects. They found me on twitter and instagram, so it's also a good idea to be active in the community. In Europe you can start at 350e/day minimum, but I don’t know how it works anywhere else, it might be different. Good luck for everything, you can do it !

Hey Dmitry, these are really difficult questions. 1. I won't invest time in a showreel, they are not as common as they where used to be. 2. I would try to create several images, so that you can bump up your Instagram account 3. I started for free, then I got very little (400€ in a month) then it got a bit more... now I am charging minimum 750€ a day, but if it is a big cooperate client I even charge more. 4. I guess the more the better Cheers and good luck

Jammy G project is super awesome Tatiana! πŸ’™πŸ’›. I hope this russian aggression against Ukraine will end fast. Stay safe!

Thanks, Vincent, this was very helpful, and it's perfect timing! I wanted to ask you the same questions. I had to move from Russia because of this war, and I am in a position where I don't have clients and I am tight on the money. Working hard on my portfolio right now, but I'm afraid I won't find any clients because I don't have much experience working on commercial projects as a 3D designer. I have some questions: 1. Is it ok to have a portfolio consisting of images? Or would it be better to animate them somehow and turn them into the video showreel? 2. Should I make one big project / connected series or should I focus on making several images not connected to one another? 3. How would you price yourself on a freelance, if you are just starting out? 4. Should I make a website or Behance and Instagram are enough? I wish Tanya and everyone who needs it right now good luck. Hope this hell ends soon. By the way, if someone from the EU reads it - you can help refugees by providing food, needs, and money. Every small thing helps. Thanks! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦
