How advanced should my tutorials be?

Hello everyone,

I haven't used polls in a while. But I wanted to see if my level of difficulty is still right for you.

If I should go faster or if I should explain one or two extra steps per video.

Thanks
Vincent

Some of the videos touch that topic a little, but I haven't made a specific one. Would be interesting but quite hard to teach though.

Vincet hello! I hope you are well, I don't know if you have something recorded or you haven't touched on that topic yet, but it would be great if you explained a little about making transitions that match and techniques to do them, at least some, the most used, etc. I am not referring to editing, rather I am referring to creating animated scenes that integrate with each other making them work together, I think it would be a great topic in general, and thanks for all the content. It's still great.

Thanks for the feedback, it looks like I am on the right track. Perhaps a tiny bit more advanced but not easier 😉

Vincent Schwenk

OK,you have always been the best teacher :-)

that is great to hear and this is exactly what I try to be "a course in 3D art" (not only software)

Vincent Schwenk

Hey Vincent I voted "They are exactly right". Yes, I chose to take your courses because I wanted to learn even more. But the most important thing of all when I chose to follow your patreon was because you are a great artist, for my opinion this course is an advanced course in art, specifically 3d art.

Hey Francesco, The votes are anonymous, so I don't know your answer. I guess you voted they are right? If yes, that is nice to hear and with your long background it should be easy to adopt.

I prefer to explain my vote. When I started watching your tutorials it was last December and I had no knowledge of cinema4d. But coming for many years with 3ds max and archviz I knew very well how render engines work (I use several of them), advanced lighting (IBL dome, sky, etc etc.), advanced shading and surfacing (blend materials, composite, sss, hair mtl etc etc), and thanks to my experience of many years I had no problems in understanding your techniques with redshift. Without my experience I would not have been able to follow your tutorials. (Regarding the use of cinema and modeling: before doing your tutorials I had to study all cinema to understand where the commands were in its interface, but here too I had my knowledge in hard suface and in zbrush etc. etc.) So, I started following your tutorials because I needed an advanced course: a master in softbody and kayframing animation with cinema4d. Before buying the subscription to your patreon I saw the youtube videos and I immediately understood that your courses were advanced. I repeat that I have not searched on youtube how to model a shape in cinema, but I have looked for who is the best in making softbody with cinema and I have found your tutorials. My 2 cents: when I studied architecture I had to already know advanced mathematics to be able to take the university course. I joined your patreon because with my experience I knew that I was enrolling "at the university". If I didn't have all my background I wouldn't have signed up.

Hey 成龙 谢; this is indeed the most difficult part to teach, because there is no technical formula like first do that, then this and then your image looks great. I hope this comes with time and I hope you will get there when you watch many of my videos, because I often try to explain why I do certain design choices. One thing is to learn the software the other thing is to develop style (which is way more difficult)

Vincent Schwenk

Hello,Vincent It would be nice if subsequent tutorials included more detailed knowledge about lighting and color matching, as the way light is used seems to make a big difference in the aesthetic level of the work. I can follow your tutorials to make similar effects, but they always lack a sense of atmosphere.
