01 ANIMATION - SOFTBODY RIBBON

DOWNLOAD FILES  (if the alembics are lost, you need to relink them again)
Also here is the wallpaper.

First of all thank you very much for joining my channel.  I've been teaching in university, so I am not totally new, but this is the first time I record a tutorial.

So please help me to improve in the upcoming ones.
Is it fast enough? Or too fast? Any other recommendations?
In this one, the sides are a bit cropped, I will change that in the next one and I will get a better camera for the intro :-)

Thanks Vincent

01 ANIMATION - SOFTBODY RIBBON

Comments

We will start from now I read video 01 of 325 🤯

Hey, when I turn the cloner tag from "rigid body" to "soft body", objects crash. Anything I can do to avoid it?

Le Fu

Probably you are having another scene scale or some other values. Increase the stiffness a bit, that might help

Vincent Schwenk

Hey Vincent, my objects seems to get stretched way too much by the ribbon but I think all the values and scale are the same as yours - what could be the problem here?

George Dc

Nice! I had to get used to C4D again since i am quite rusty but i feel like im catching up quickly with your tut. On to the design part! Yay!

Mikkel Tandrup Madsen

Ah sorry, I'm new here :-) Thanks for your help Vincent

Fabio Catapano

There is no part two, the numbers are referring to the tutorials/posts. This was my first one. 03 is the next tut (floor collision)

Vincent Schwenk

Hi Vincent, I can’t find the part 2 of this tutorial. Please, can you help me? Thanks ;-)

Fabio Catapano

"My machine is running very s.......quick!"

Jianle Li

one question: bake alembic is only baking one object even if I have multiple objects selected but exporting as alembic is working just right. Any idea why?

Emmanuel Hourquet

Great tutorial, not too fast or too slow and really clear steps.

Emmanuel Hourquet

Hey Vincent thanks for the great tuto!! Looking forward to part II

Ruben Fernandez

excellent I look forward to part two (rendering)

Alberto Cruz

Good stuff! Looking forward to the material part :)

Flavio M

After I prefer Redshift way more, I will start with that. But if there are enough people asking for Octane I might do that as well.

Vincent Schwenk

Hey Vincent, can we expect any materials that are based in Octane?

Patrick Sluiter

Yep, the UI looks really small on my screen. But the tuts is great ✨

Alexandre Parageaud (Apara)

Thanks and good that you wrote. I was just about to record the second one.

Vincent Schwenk

Yes. 4k resolution even if higher res in vimeo, is not ideal in most cases. The majority of people watch from any device so 1080p makes it a lot easier. I know its harder for u -less workspace- but viewers will be happy :)

Thanos Kagkalos

you mean the resolution of my screen, so everything is bigger for you? I did indeed record at a 4K screen. But I could also upload a higher resolution to Vimeo.

Vincent Schwenk

Great mate! one comment is to lower your resolution to 1080p :) thankss
