Exclusive content

It doesn't seem to be working that well.. I have 10 views on the exclusive content here on Patreon, instead of having 2k after the same time period.
Any thoughts what I can do better?

If you want more views, then making your videos free would be the way to go. It's a matter of what works best for you, because "free" just means subsidized by someone else. Whether that's patreon, paid tutorials, or ad revenue, the support has to come from somewhere to offset the free views. If you do make all your videos free, I think you should still charge a subscription fee for other things like answering workflow specific questions, resources, plugins, and so on. I've purchased a lot of educational material over the years, and I noticed that I tend to pay for quality information and convenience. Something that is short and to the point is extremely valuable, because problems need to be solved very quickly within a production setting. In summary, I always pay for whatever helps me get work done as efficiently as possible :).

Please don't stop and we are having fun with you :) I love to see Xgen tutorials and rendering hair with Arnold, and lighting big scenes and more creating and lighting environments please.

I hope that you'll have more patreon, I think it's a great way to reward you! I think this little groot is good and you should keep trying to balance the youtube/patreon only videos. I bet it's not easy. Cloth shaders, that's interesting indeed, maybe also an interior scene? You did a bunch of exteriors, might be interesting to see your expertise on an interior. Maybe also something more pipeline orientated regarding workflows between model/rig/surfacing/ASS/abc cache with and/or without Katana (small studios usually don't use it), the whole workflow of UV/shaders/cache is usually a bottleneck in studios. That's what i have in mind for the moment, and i look forward to have a chat with you!

Perhaps I'm being stupid here, but isn't the number of views just a math thing here? Only your patrons can see the exclusive content right? You have 51 patrons and 10 have seen the video, so around 20%. On Youtube, you have 21k followers, so you would have gotten your 2k views if just 10% of them watched it. Personally I think the exclusive content is nice, but would still support you on Patreon even if you posted everything on your regular Youtube channel if you think it gets to few viewers here.

Maybe the theme was something everybody have already studied on your earlier classes on You Tube. My suggestion for the next tutorial is cloth shader. I've never seen you talk about it and I tried some cloth shaders here but never get something that makes me happy. Thanks
