2023-03-29 15:46:00 +0000 UTCI don’t believe Denji’s age was ever mentioned up until now. The characters around him were also surprised to learn it, Himeno included. But even if he did happen to be an adult, it would still be extremely easy for other people (like Makima) to use him because everything that feels even a little bit nice seems like a privilege to him, and not say, a basic human right. Himeno did receive a lot of hate for this episode (understandably so), but I do maintain that she was moreso acting on her obvious dislike towards Makima and wanting to feel like she had some control over her, and that’s why she tries to sleep with Denji here. So she wasn’t ACTUALLY interested in Denji like that, but it’s gross in a kind of different way, although she was highly intoxicated so her judgement is obviously impaired. Next episode might clear some things up for you in how she actually feels about all this. Great character, but very very flawed, which I appreciate a lot. And dw, the anime is very aware of the creepiness of all this.
