I have lots of notes for ep8:
-Mel's backstory is my favorite for how awesome-yet-tragic it is (awesome b/c of the mom's voice & presence). Also, in reference to "more to love", my thoughts exactly ;)
-Honestly, your SpaghettioOs joke made me lol :D It was so out of nowhere, yet so fitting!
-As much as I wanna see all the villains get their comeuppance, Marcus is the only 1 I'm glad to see die, given how annoying he is. From the beginning, he's been a petulant man-child w/a Napoleon Complex & no redeeming/sympathetic qualities.
-I only noticed this after repeated watchings, but the slug & crab monsters Vi describes at ~14:20 are the ones we see Powder draw in ep6 (~18:50).
-IDK if you noticed, but the mom's boy toy is also naked during the bath scene ;)
-I really like how Victor & Jayce have separate-yet-parallel subplots (I.e. They both do things they never thought they would out of desperation, enjoy those things at 1st, but then accidentally kill ppl & feel bad).
-While I've enjoyed many shows overall just as much as ATLA/LOK, Arcane may be the 1st one I've enjoyed just as much in terms of fight choreography. The Jayce/Vi fight is an especially good example of that.
-Honestly, I didn't feel as bad for the dead kid (who knowingly helped his abusers by setting off the alarm) as I did for Jayce (who was actually trying to do good).
