This movie was more entertaining than I remembered, but it’s definitely not very good. From what I understand, there was a lot of behind the scenes meddling, with the decision to shoehorn Venom into the last 30 minutes being the biggest example. Watching through these movies again, I can see why many people consider Peter and Mary Jane’s soap opera-sequel relationship to be one of their weakest elements.
