Can’t say I agree with Raymond’s recurring criticism of the pacing. So far, the only plot heavy episodes that I would maybe call rushed would be 11 and 9, and I certainly didn’t feel that way with episodes like “Echoes of the Past”, “Hunting Palismen”, or “Yesterday’s Day”. In some ways, I’ve found the consistent plot progression to be fairly refreshing, since a lot of story heavy cartoons tend get a bit too bogged down with filler when the tension should be ramping up. Still, it is bummer that they probably won’t have as much time to flesh certain things out as I would like.

I quite liked how the twist with Raine was handled, and the fact that they also blew on the tea in “Follies at the Coven Day Parade” was a neat example of foreshadowing. The Covens vs. Wilds game could be seen an early form of indoctrination, especially considering the mindset that it put all the students in. Apple Blood is apparently like cider; it can be both alcoholic and nonalcoholic.
In addition to Odalia, Alador, and Darius, Gus’s dad and Willow’s dads also made background cameos. Additionally there was a girl with pink hair and a third eye walking next to another girl with glasses; combined, they kind of match Boscha’s color scheme, so a lot of people are speculating that she might have two moms. If that’s the case, then it’s more evidence that could suggest that same-sex couples on the Boiling Isles have some way of producing genetic offspring.
