I love it when cartoons are able to deal with tough subjects in a mature and nuanced manner. One nice detail is that the Abomaton’s alarm sounded a lot like the notification alarm on Luz’s phone, which could explain why lost her composure in that moment. Amity refusing her dad’s hug was also great, and it’s a relief that they aren’t ignoring the part he played in her abuse.
