Although the approach isn't without its downsides, I've really been enjoying how pretty how every episode of season 2A has been able to progress the overarching story in some way. The general consensus seems to be that season 2 has been a noticeable improvement over the first in most regards, even if some things have felt a little rushed. As for this episode in particular, I thought it was a fairly decent way to close out the first half of the season. I actually did see some people theorize that the show would subvert the Evil Doppelgänger trope and present "Creepy Luz" as a sympathetic character, and I kind of prefer it that way. Since the main story is supposed to be resolved in season 3, I don't expect or want a conventional season 4; I'm mostly supporting the SaveTheOwlHouse movement in the hopes of getting any kind of additional content that might allow the crew to explore some of the ideas that they won't have time for in the main show. The main thing I'd like to see is a limited epilogue series akin to Steven Universe Future or Adventure Time: Distant Lands that focuses on self-contained stories.
