They withheld them from doing a lot of variety shows and things at the start of their career because they wanted to maintain a sort of "mystique" about the girls and their concept, but as you've already seen in these episodes, they must have realized pretty early on that they were too silly and playful to maintain that mysterious/badass image for long. The song they were referencing at the end there was Next Level (though Forever came out first). They'd actually recorded Next Level before Black Mamba, as the test song for the group. The whole (actual, real world) lore behind that, was that Lee Soo Man got the vision for Aespa after hearing Next Level on the Hobbs and Shaw soundtrakc, and so he bought the rights to the song.
