My heart goes out to anyone who has gone through something like this it really does.

2024-12-09 01:41:59 +0000 UTCThis is my all time favorite drama (not just Kdrama)…but I did struggle watching it the first time. As all of you likely know, the story of Ji-an has clear parallels with IU’s story, and it pained me to learn how much she struggled early in the filming (had to be hospitalized). Watching it now multiple times, there are so many details you discover every time…in the writing, directing and acting. The show is amazing. And IU has said that the director, and everyone else involved with the drama, were so incredibly supportive of her during the filming - that she gained tremendous comfort from this drama in the end (as does everyone who sees it)

2024-12-03 21:24:30 +0000 UTCI agree with you all (commenters)..but for bro Sylver, i beg to differ (no offense meant bro Sylver) of your saying that some scenes are kinda over-dramatic that it does not happen in real life.. it does happens bro, esp. in Asian countries like South Korea, Philippines etc. In my case i really can relate with all the story line this drama shows (about 70-80% of the stories each characters portrays i've heard, seen with my 2 eyes and experienced myself. It really does happens in real life bro, that's why when i 1st watched this drama, i bawled a lot and reflected on myself and the things that happened in my past life until now. It changed my perception in life & it changed my life for the better. I really thanked IU and the rest of the cast & team of this drama coz it was a master piece and well-written and well acted, every single of the character are worth watching. It's a way of living normally from asian countries. This is how normally life is in asian countries, maybe in some other parts too of the world i guess. It's really a healing drama that after u watched it, you'll contemplate and think positively of one's life journey. Thanks bro Sylver for your reaction, i have deep respect to you and thank you for all your IU contents, appreciate much of your effort. IU is a rare gem and need to be protected at all cost..she's an angel, an amazing artist & singer, excellent actress, and most of all a very kind-hearted and down to earth person. She (IU) changed my life for the better for sure.

Some great writing, superb acting, and atmospheric production go a long way to telling a story without outright spelling it out for you. It's why this show has stuck with me for so long, despite its ability to make the viewer feel uncomfortable with a looming sense of dread and misery, you can't help but connect to and feel empathetic for all the characters in a way that makes you draw parallel insights into the struggles of you're own life. At least for me it resonated that deeply.

Jeong-hui is the bar owner and she also went to school with Dong-hoon. The story unfolds slowly and deliberately. It took them 4 episodes just to get to the part where you see the larger family Dong-hoon is also a part of. People who care about him. Ji-An is listening to all of it, sitting alone in that freezing cold hovel. It's something she's never experienced in her own hellish life.
