Even having never seen these earlier DC Notes before, I get such a strong sense of nostalgia for them. There is a term made for this feeling from an older YouTube channel called 'Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows' called "Anemoia" which defined this phenomena as "the feeling of yearning for a time or experience that you have never personally experienced". It is so strange to see early Dreamcatcher compared to now, how far they've grown, yet they still aren't recognized in Korea compared to even most newly debuted popular groups from 'The Big 4' or popular Survival Show groups nowadays. Yet I've met several people in my workplace in the US who are familiar with Kpop and have heard of Dreamcatcher before. The dichotomy of it all is really quite fascinating really. I couldn't help but tear up while watching these, knowing that they were both happy to continue shooting for their dreams but also uneasy while trying to judge if their re-debut will fall apart at any moment. Especially for Gahyun and Handong, who must've felt even more tribulations by being added to a group of individuals with previous debut experience, Gahyun being very young/impressionable and Handong not being all too familiar with the language and cultural differences. Seeing the fansign videos really made me tear up too, since several of those clips were used in the MV for 'Reason' like you mentioned. It's crazy because they are already considered pretty unfiltered for idols nowadays, but these videos are even more unfiltered and raw than what they put out now. I also couldn't help but notice how they were singing along to other groups performing at the music shows they were getting ready for, groups that would have gained more GP popularity than them, but DC ultimately outlived some of them by now. I definitely heard AOA's 'Excuse Me' and WJSN's 'I Wish' (the song you thought was Red Velvet's 'Rookie'). I also did the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme at the Jiulul gif since I didn't even know the source myself hahaha. Dami fangirling over Taeyeon is always cute too. So many short clips I know from Insomicsy videos or other guides, but seeing these videos in full is sincerely a treat, so thank you for checking them out.
