I'd stand by the idea that it should be in line with story and character consistency and development, Mike is male in both identity and physically in his normal unaltered state, given his reaction to the temporary loss of his penis and the panic and stress about the entire thing, it would make sense that he'd want to be called a he still, and to be Claire's boyfriend, after all a little physical tweaking doesn't change who he is, if the character however is actually trans or otherwise mentally changed then it makes sense to have altered pronouns, but for that comic keeping things story consistent is probably better, but naturally it's up to you how the story unfolds

2025-03-12 01:15:26 +0000 UTCI don’t make my comics with an exact script I want to turn into what everyone wants to turn into in the most realistic manner. Generally, I make the characters in the characters will always be those characters. They just might make choices in different ways.

It has nothing to do with not hurting anyone’s feelings and more to do with public opinion as much as I’m making a comic for you for entertainment I make it as best I can, but it’s important to me that my followers help me make the comic they want.

2025-03-07 02:38:43 +0000 UTCits your character, you determine the mindset of that character, if you feel it is appropriate for the given situation and context in the story then it is appropriate. all the pronoun stuff is entirely based off individual feelings, its a relatively new idea, it hasnt existed for 500 years there are no set rules to follow. your not talking about any specific person or situation that would be encountered in real life. I really dont see this kind of thing being even slightly bothersome to anyone, ive seen what I at least believe people would consider far worse get absolutely no negative feedback, im fairly certain your a good mile or 2 away from hitting the wrong target.

2025-03-07 01:39:11 +0000 UTCI do understand where you're coming from and good on you for making sure you aren't stepping over a line but I don't think you need to worry here. when you think of the angles you can take it as you have 1. this entire comic revolved very heavily around mike experimenting with their sexuality and body image, Claire using feminine pronouns can be taken as another example of that 2. it's not that uncommon for ppl to call their partners a different gender during sex imo (especially in comics). I mean basically every femboy char in a comic gets called a girl at least once and I personally never seen anyone complain. (also I second Lou's statement. that phrase is extremely dangerous in the best way for gender fluid ppl if used with the right timing)

2025-03-07 01:16:40 +0000 UTCI feel like if I ever have Sex and the other person has mixed pronouns or something. I'll probably say "Great job", "Incredible Work", or something else like that. To not ruin the moment of that. But, I'm still a virgin unfortunately... If I was in Mike's position I'd try to enjoy it while I could, and maybe attempt to make a deal with the Card game to where I'd be able to switch from one to the other with my choice by think about it as if it were a super power.

2025-03-06 20:11:53 +0000 UTCI feel like it really depends on Mike. If they are getting comfortable with the girl parts then it should be fine, but if they are still uncomfortable about the situation and still feels wrong, then I feel that it would be mean.
