Quick Update...
Added 2020-01-05 06:08:12 +0000 UTCHey everyone... my apologies on getting this week's Early Release full episode ("Everything is Fine") out at the last possible minute! I had an unexpected death in the family on Monday, December 30th, and had to travel home to assist with funeral arrangements, life insurance complications, and coordinating military honor guard services. This week has been absolute hell... and though I would have liked to have released this episode earlier... I worked 15 hours today to wrap it up to ensure I could still release it to you all FIRST.
I have seen many comments on Reddit lately, some coming from one of our purported current Patrons - claiming that I am "hiding content behind paywalls," and that I am rapidly falling down the same "pay me now"/begging trajectory that another popular true crime podcast did/has (that I also used to work for). I will continue to promote Invisible Choir - because I put my heart and soul into every single episode. I openly weep while writing, recording, and editing these episodes. I regularly suffer from nightmares from subjecting myself to the content in the quest for a larger purpose - telling the stories of what I believe are largely preventable crimes, had people paid attention to the critical warning signs. I have not once mentioned the cost to run this show (use your imagination - it is not cheap). I have not once demanded or begged people pay me. I have, however, promoted additional channels for people consuming our content to access additional episodes if desired.... hence, Invisible Choir Premium.
I LOVE you all. You are the lifeblood of my seemingly boundless energy. All of you who have gathered here to support this crazy endeavor, you give me life, and bring me hope for a brighter future where this platform can be used for good. I have already begun two separate independent investigative projects assisting families who are desperate for answers, and seeking closure in the case of missing loved ones. Your generous contributions have allowed me to aggressively and selflessly engage in this work, and for that - I am forever grateful. For those who believe Invisible Choir is a selfish money grab, I respectfully request you terminate your premium subscriptions and move along. I didn't get into this business for money, and I damn sure don't need yours.
To the rest (and most) of you... have a blessed and a safe week. You ROCK.
