It isn't in the prototype I've released, but Vaili will have 6 equipment slots, all with special game-changing effects that can be mixed and matched to fit your preferred
For starters, I want to give out the prototype for anyone in the 6+ tier to play with: dropbox.com/sh/06uztyhi88ycigy/AAAV4mmiYUNwSrwDCFr1mWLYa?dl=0
The next version won't be available for a while, since it'll be close to the final version of the first level or two.
Things I've done:
Lots of assets. almost all of Vaili's equipment is designed, a few pieces of equipment and Vaili are made for equipment screen. Backgrounds done, added music to the combat, some combat sfx, and a lot of planning.
Things I'm looking to do next: There are little things beyond count like the character combat portraits, but the big ones are a total re haul of the "clicker" half of the game and a more seamless transition between battles. I'm leaning farther from the clicker game "gameplay" and more into the satisfying feeling of raising your "power level" as quickly as possible. I've debated removing the clicking button entirely, but instead I'm changing my approach, and the most effective way of using the clicking button will be in short bursts between long battles. I want that button to be extremely satisfying.
It isn't in the prototype I've released, but Vaili will have 6 equipment slots, all with special game-changing effects that can be mixed and matched to fit your preferred play style, maximize your combat, or power up quickly (you can also make Vaili wear something cool or cute, you'll be able to transmogrify gear).
Work on Bloodline vol. 2 has been distracting, but that's complete now, and I'd like to get back to working a little bit on this game every day.
OH! Also, I'd like to say, expect that I may start posting some things about this game publicly in the future. In every way, the health of this game will suffer if I don't put it out there for people to enjoy, support and look forward to. I usually limit side projects to here, as I'm afraid of having a reputation of not finishing ideas, but this project is particularly special. I'm ready to commit and say this is of the ones that gets finished.
I hope you're all looking forward to it as much as I am!
