RE: Trailer Trash 58, Home is where the heart is.

/// The complete chapter 58. Only the last sect

Comments

Ive been reading this for more than a year or two man, your story is beautiful, never read a slice of life fiction that kept me this glued and invested. I’ve decided only now to finally pay my thanks shouldve done it sooner.

Check out the audiobook. It's most excellent and Amy Landon does an incredible job.

I think it's coming up.

'Realizing that well done was equivalent to dining on shoe leather most of the time made having steak a transformative experience.' - missing how she actually likes her steak done. Slightly confusing. I think after 'having' you can put how she likes her meat. Personally medium rare is my choice. 'the gellar field, where the insanity of the warp devoured' - an excellent reference and line, most excellent. Makes one wonder how much knowledge Tabitha has on 40k. How did her older self even start, books? Dark Eldar / Drukhari ftw though :)

What happened to Elena's birthday trip to see Evanescence?

Just a little thrown by grilling the same night we were discussing below freezing temperatures that morning. Not many of us Kentucky folk tend to grill in January...

IMHO, the only reason that "well done" -> "shoe leather" is that most cooks don't bother trying. It is possible to cook a steak well done and still have something well worth eating, it's just hard and takes a lot more time and effort than most restaurant staff are willing to put into it, witch leads to other cooks assuming that the professional cooks are right. (Consider a slow roast, a lot of them are the same meat cooked *very* well done and can be fall-off-the-bone tender.) If I'm ever tasked with interviewing a cook, I'm 100% going to ask them to cook steak well done as it will test two things: #1 Can they do something that's hard? #2 Will they put in the effort to do a good job making something that isn't the way *they* would want it.

I was about to comment about this. Pretty sure the only police car I've been in had the things you push down to unlock the door completely removed for the back doors (The car I was riding in was in a traffic accident. Officer let me sit in the back of his car where it was cooler, while he talked to both drivers). It still had the holes for them, just didn't seem to be anything in them. This was the late 90s. Admittedly, that may not universally be the case.

Chapter 58. I hate to admit it, but have been in the back of police cars. They ALL turn on the child lock, you cannot open the door from the inside.

Chapter 58 suggested edits need [to get] laid needed to be taken to a [drugstore] to be developed. joined now by a two-pound [package] of ground beef Mrs. Moore looked touch[ed]. Continuity problem; in chapter 36, the same day that Tabitha goes to live with the Macintires: "that small mountain of Reese’s from the Halloween haul was hidden in the freezer...the Ariel costume had been folded and put away" conflicts with the items' locations in chapter 58. I'd go with artistic license and not worry about the Ariel costume but there doesn't seem to be a good reason for bringing up the candy. Can't wait for chapter 59!!

Found on webtoons, binge read the book once I realized it was available during a re-read, and had to sign up for chapter updates after - heart sings with anticipation on each update! Very much enjoying the characters and their various arcs!!

I love the teaser sections but it's so much better once you finish up and put the chapter together. Thanks for another awesome chapter.

Thanks for the chapter!

The egocentrism of Hannah is FANTASTIC! Constantly interjecting herself wherever she can. What a wonderful child lmao

Cano Mendez

>“No!” Hannah interrupted them with a raised voice—when Tabitha looked over she saw Hannah’s normally adorable little face warped in anger and fear like she’d never seen it before. “NO! No, no, no! You CAN’T leave. YOU CAN’T!” Burst out laughing when I read this line.

Nick

Minor typo when Tabitha and Hannah are working on the steaks and if going to use her 'tongue' to turn them. I really love this series and I am so sorry that real life keeps you from adding to it more often.

Mark Adkins

Thanks for the update. Have a good day.

Jeanie6754

Aww little Hannah doesn't want to lose her big sis

Sgt. Tibs

I think that's one of the rough parts of this story. It's really awesome but the time it takes to write is hard to wait through. I wouldn't be surprised if book 2 was fully published in late 2026

Sean

Thank you! Glad to see the boil up. Hannah's been a whole bundle for a while now.

Sean

Just Wondering-- When will the Second book be published? Really enjoying the story. My wife liked LISTENING to the first book and will listen to the next one. Thank you for writing this.

Douglas Thomas

Thanks for the next update boss!
