Unlike most of the leek lich’s many agents, the wight grape doesn’t thrive in dismal, desolate or dreary places. Instead, it enjoys to bask in the light that shines on mellow meadows, sun-kissed slopes and lush vineyards. Despite its rather ghostly or even sinister appearance and – for those who are able to discern it – subtle smell of rot, this curious fruit is a quite welcome one – at least sometimes. Winegrowers appreciate is sturdiness against wind and weather; connoisseurs of peculiar beverages enjoy the wild bouquet of the wine made from it.
