i wasn't expecting this!! this song is my roman empire lmao, from what i remember, the director from jjk's S2 said that they wrote the lyrics based on gojos pov, with this in mind, lyrics like "i've got a curse word for you stuck in the back of my throat, it is the unvoiced voice that says 'we'll see each other again, won't we?'" hit way harder😭 omg that's so interesting!! i've always noticed that there's ppl that sound like they sing with reverb lmao😭 or they do things that make it sound like they have autotune on, idk if you've heard any spanish singers but there's a lot of ppl in that scene that can do it, a famous example is rosalia, kpop example would be keeho from p1harmony, i never knew that's how they do it so thats good insight from u blaire if you want to check more insane japanese artists, i highly recommend u to check out "ado", she's a faceless artist but with one of the most insane techniques i've heard, i would love to know your thoughts on her cover to the song "crime and punishment", she did a couple of OSTs for one piece and covered tokyo ghouls "unravel" as well, if you're interested i wish there was a good footage of the crime punishment live perf. but all i can offer u is a lyric video with the official audio, and trust me, she sounds THE SAME live😭 https://youtu.be/x6bTv9iCrZ8?si=Yz-4fNfVrMw4RZiS
