Archmage Legacy: Personal Map Rewards

Hey Everyone! I'd like to give huge and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been supporting the patreon in it's infancy. It really does mean the world to me as a small time artist. That being said, we have reached the two month mark and it is now time to consider those extra special Archmage Legacy rewards for early bird supporters.

If you have been a patron in the $5 Archmage Tier for at least two months, you will soon find yourself eligible to claim a free personal map commission. For those who are eligible here's how this reward plays out...

Step 1: The Message. When you are eligible, you'll receive a private message via Patreon to start the commission process. Following the guidelines below, you'll be able to put in your map request and it will be added to the work queue. These reward maps are fulfilled on a first come first serve basis. However, that doesn't mean you need to have an idea ready ASAP. If you'd like to bank your reward for a reasonable future claim (say in a few weeks or another month), just respond saying such and I'll add your name to a special waiting list to make sure you're not forgotten.

Step 2: Thumbnails. You'll receive a few thumbnails to look over and choose an overall design.

Step 3: Lineart Roughs. You'll receive a rough lineart of your thumbnail showing the map in detail. You may request ONE revision of the final layout. Unless I completely miss the mark and you absolutely hate the map design, I cannot accommodate multiple revisions for everyone.

Step 4: Production. After you approve the lineart, your map will officially go into the production queue. You'll receive WIP shots as applicable, and I'll check in to make sure the overall colors are what you'd like. Because these maps are being done in between the normal map schedule, they will take at minimum one week to complete from the date of the final lineart approval. As such, please do not request your map on week 1 and expect it to be delivered on week 2 for your game session. I will make every effort to complete these as quickly as possible but I CANNOT guarantee set delivery dates for free reward maps. 

Step 5: Delivery. You'll receive you map files via e-mail. Similar to normal map files here, you'll find gridded, no grid, Roll20 sized, and if applicable a lighting variant. You may see your map released here on Patreon for other patrons to enjoy. These versions will be watermarked with a "Sponsored by..." footnote. If you would like your name (real or internet handle) displayed in the "Sponsored by...." label, please let me know which identity to use. As the original requestor, only you will ever have access to the watermark free versions as a extra note of thanks and appreciation for your awesomeness.

MAP GUIDELINES AND RESTRICTIONS

• Maps cannot exceed 20x30 squares
• You may request a lighting variant. Ex: night version for exteriors, lit fireplaces for interiors, ect.
• Maps may be either interior or exterior battlemaps. True top-down, or overhead one point perspective.
• Maps may be for any setting, but keep in mind that I specialize in medieval fantasy
• You are allowed ONE revision during the lineart stage. In order to keep production moving, additional revisions generally cannot be accommodated. Minor alterations can be requested and will be done purely at the artist's discretion.
• Reward maps are NON-EXCLUSIVE. A free version may be released as Patron-Only, with sponsored by attribution to the commissioner.
• Reward maps are released under the Creative Commons 4.0 License.
• They cannot be used commercially unless a separate commercial license is purchased. They may be used freely in live streams and vods provided credit to the original artist is given.

***It is requested that reward maps be claimed in a reasonable time frame. If you are eligible but would like to bank your reward for a later date, you must state so in a response to the outreach message, so as to be placed in the "on hold" list. Any patron who does not respond to the eligibility message within 30 days will be considered not interested; future claims will be honored but considered low priority compared to other patron rewards.***
