Public Worx Updates!
Added 2024-10-25 18:36:15 +0000 UTCWe know a lot of you are anxiously in wait for Project SleipniR to make its debut. But we have a few other projects we've also been slowly chipping away at that we hope to release in Q4 2024!
Project SleipniR is reaching its final stages of 3d modeling / Texturing / AC Implementation. Our focus remains on providing the absolute best physics model available for sim racers to utilize while maintaining the fun factor that is these cars. Workflow that remains is optimizing the model, final tuning to the physics model, liveries, testing, and of course the proper sound mod done by the one and only Mike Krybus.
Next up is what will be our first and last track creation. 2024 Watkins Glen. I wanted to understand what went into developing a track, start to finish. The track is LIDAR scanned as of this year including a few local friends on the ground during a track walk that had their iPhones to scan the size of the new curbs in the bus stop. Will it compare to how nice Lilski's Watkins Glen is? Probably not, but, it will be the only publicly available version of the updated track and that's what is most important aside from me banging my head against the wall trying to build a track for the first time.
Lastly, is the once a year update that I do for the Spec P71 car. This year is the addition of the cPhys power steering module that was created with the help of cortmarshal from the CSP discord, who unfortunately recently passed away. On top of the addition of the power steering, the front suspension has been revamped utilizing the COSMIC type suspension instead of DWB2 bringing it into the world of 2024. There have been a few other minor adjustments to the tire model but otherwise the car remains unchanged. The update will be available to our real life Spec P71 drivers and paid patreons first and likely will be so in the next few weeks as I finish the development on this end.
