2022-06-03 17:52:50 +0000 UTCI didn't say that though. I didn't say generic and simple equal bad. I'm answering "why don't I find this set fulfilling?" There's no style to it, it's just natural lighting (with some hidden help/key/fill-lights, granted) but there's no.. flashiness to it. There are no cinematic qualities to it. I might be a bit out-of-touch with my audience, in that regard. One of my favourite pieces of this year was this one: https://cdn.slushe.com/galleries/141996284d6a6afc6d/main/[SloP]%20Vignettes%202%20-%2006_6284d7fabfe77.jpg Nobody has even mentioned that one and my heart was in this one, which is kinda.. weird? Something my heart isn't in - this set - is being applauded and there's excitement for it, yet something I personally adore hasn't been spoken about and is forgotten. It's a bitter pill to swallow sometimes. But yeah, this set is just not doing for me, creatively. :)\

2022-06-03 17:13:36 +0000 UTCNothing artful about it. Seemingly simple, naturalistic lighting. Limited opportunities for interesting compositions. The idea is okay, bit simple and.. generic maybe. But it's just.. simple smut, to me. Which I don't enjoy making that much. I'm not learning anything new and it's not artful in any way, to me. I'm also a little nervous/scared how this'll be received, since my style in general is more cinematic with dramatic lighting, and this is not that.
