Unreal Engine 5 Stealth Takedown System - Action RPG #65


Today we are going to implement a stealth takedown system or a silent takedown system to takedown enemies in our game. Player will have be able to sneak and get behind enemies and takedown them quickly without alerting other enemies. If player make any noise such as footstep sounds when running, enemies will hear that and they will look at the direction of the noise. If the player is detected by the enemy, player will no longer be able to do a silent takedown.

you can do the same thing in the default map too. The map you see here is called stylized provencal, which is a free asset in unreal marketplace. But the map has nothing to do with the systems I implemented. you can pick up a sword and sneak up behind an enemy and it will prompt F to do a takedown

What version of your project is that? I downloaded your most recent one and its basically the standart unreal map with a few enemy npcs and the character just attack or run. Whats the method to use the one on the video? Did you assign any key to the actions? I am doing a college project, but I only the the stealth takedown part of yours
