Choose High School Classmates 2.1: School Management (Preview)

This update enables you to assign school staff and students to classes. With an optional module, you can also assign two cafeteria workers.

Here comes another school related mod update – but this time is for High School. The update lets you to choose a principal, teachers, a janitor, a cafeteria worker – and even which class the sim belongs to!

Assign School Staff

To assign the sims for the school roles, click with a teen on the mailbox and choose High School Management category.

In each category besides Students choose only ONE sim. In other case things might go wrong. If at least one sim for this role is assigned, you also can remove them from this role.

Exclusion: if you install the Second Cafeteria Vendor mod (my module for this mod or Ksuihuh mod) then assign two sims.

Assign Classmates

In the Students category, you can adjust the roles of Class 1, Class 2, Team Members and Mean sims.

By default, a school has 10 students, with 5 in each class. Subtract the number of active sims attending the school from this total to find the number of classmates you should choose for Class 1.

But what about Class 2?

Team members and Mean Sim always go into Class 2, so you should not assign any more students to this class as it is full according to EA limits.

Well, that is unless you use the 'More Classmates' mod.

Let's say you use the version for 18 students, meaning there are nine students per class. In Class 2, you should then choose four more sims and in Class 1, choose a number of students that differs from nine by the number of your active students.

Please assign the correct number of classmates and fill the special roles – otherwise strange things will definitely happen.

What about previously assgned students?

If you have used this mod before, all the students you have assigned will automatically go into Class 1. Therefore, recheck the classmates settings after reinstalling the mod. Special sims will be as usual. That's REQUIRED, otherwise you'll get random sims at the school.

Also, make sure that you haven't previously assigned special NPCs to roles, since they cannot attend school as classmates; for example, Baby Ariel or ghosts. These are EA limitations; I have just fixed the Sim pickers to show only the appropriate sims. Remove them from the roles if you find any.

Second Cafeteria Worker

As I mentioned before, you can assign two Cafeteria Workers if you use the mod that increases the number of workers from 1 to 2. Ksuihuh has this mod, however, I've decided to publish my own version. They are almost identical, but my version includes an updated code from several patches.

Sim picker for a school staff lets you choose only one sim each time so just click twice to assign two workers. Place a cafeteria station on the lot before an active school day to allow the workers to tend to their stations correctly.

CONFLICTS

Any other mod that does the same thing (and why would you want to have both?)

It's very likely to have a conflict with NPC control related mods. If students don't come to school, there's a 99% chance you'll have this type of conflict.

But if a mod doesn't affect school classmates it should work fine (i.e. Bienchen's Lessfame Overhaul mod, you can just remove the highschool module).

Doesn't conflict with mods that change the total number of students, change the school schedule, prevent stupid uniforms, add cafeteria workers and career day professionals, and so on.
