Hello everyone! I guess it's one of the most requested mods for High School Years pack - choosing your own classmates. I made this mod a few months ago, but I found out that it doesn't work quite right.

So here it is - a 2.0 version of this mod. Why 2.0? Because now it has a completely different mechanism to work. This time I use hard rules to keep your choices consistent.

How it works

Instead of requiring NPCs to have a special trait, the mod now gives all NPCs a special blacklist trait that is forbidden to classmates, mean sims, and club team members. Only your choice for these roles will remove this blacklist trait.

This applies not only to regular classes, but also to career days, prom (including pre- and post-parties), and graduation events.

It should work in both current and new saves.

HOW TO USE

To assign classmates, Click on the mailbox with the active teen sim (with testingcheats enabled). There is a High School Management category. In this category there are a few more, for each role and for plain NPC classmates without roles.

I recommend that you fill special roles first, as they should have one member to handle all school situations. In each role menu you will find an "Assign" interaction. Simply select the sims you'd like to see in that role.

If at least one sim exists for the selected category, the "Remove" option is also available. As it says there, you can remove sims for this category.

LIMITATIONS

Students number

By default, your active sim will be class 1. The other 10 NPC are divided equally between two classes. So to keep the same class members you should assign 10 NPC as max. If you use mod to increase total number (i.e. with this mod) then N number is your max.

If you choose more than that, the game will use random sims from your specified list. Though, you can assign less students, it won't create new sims.

Also keep in mind that this total number includes Cheer, Chess, Football, Computer team members and the Mean Sim role. So if you assign one sim for each role, you will have 5 more slots available.

Active teen as classmate

I intentionally don't include a teen from your active household in the classmates list. It leads to missing these sims if you change the household so that only sims selected by the mod will appear in the school, not previously active ones. Otherwise, unpredictable things can happen with the selected number.

So if you want your previously active teens to be in classmates, just don't forget to include them in classmates management by playing another household. And keep in mind the upper limit of the total number.

Game likes a chaos (lol)

No matter how hard I worked to keep only selected classmates in the school, the game might still choose someone else. Honestly, I didn't face this situation during testing, but I just know how screwed up a generation is in The Sims, haha.

So if you experience unwanted behavior, feel free to send me a bug report, but keep in mind that I don't guarantee that it will always work correctly. But this mod does their best! ;)

CONFLICTS

Any other mod that does the same thing (and why would you want to have both?)

Do not guarantee proper behavior when using NPC control related mods. It's very likely to have a conflict. If students don't come to school, there's a 99% chance you'll have this type of conflict.

But if a mod doesn't affect school classmates it should work fine (i.e. Bienchen's Lessfame Overhaul mod, you can just remove the highschool module).

Doesn't conflict with mods that change the total number of students, change the school schedule, prevent stupid uniforms, add cafeteria workers and career day professionals, and so on.
