Hi guys, so here comes first updates regarding God Guardian mod progress.
So far I'm only working on a deity for Komorebi, but I plan to write for other regions as well. If you have any ideas on what features to prescribe for other guardians, I'd love to hear them!
At the moment, there is a character trait called “Guardian God”. You can get it if you choose an aspiration in the category of the same name.
Advancement on the aspiration depends on both developing the Guardian Abilities skill and practicing those abilities, visiting secret places, performing rituals, and researching culture.
I'm planning four levels of the aspiration for now, but maybe things will change.
The guardian skill is developed by meditating, communing with nature, walking around Komorebi, studying artifacts in the library, helping the people of Komorebi, and practicing the abilities you've learned. The higher the guardian's skill, the stronger their abilities, from changing eco-prints and weather to resurrecting sims and casting curses.
Every sim who is not a guardian is assigned a belief or disbelief in the guardian. But there is a third option: if the guardian himself tells you who he is, the sim gets a special mudlet and a new character trait “Knows the guardian”.
Sims who know the guardian can go directly to him for help instead of praying at the guardian's temple or altar. However, the guardian can refuse any sim - either if he doesn't want to help, or if he lacks ability. In the latter case, he will be upset, feeling like a mediocrity - and the begging sim will be sad because even the guardian can't grant his wish.

Sims may react to a refusal to help because of weak abilities with reproach, perplexed by the legends of the guardian. After all, they say that the guardian can grant wishes!
