Reefer trucks/containers are used by businesses but they're typically reserved for larger orders or it's extremely expensive to ship something that small. It is possible to ship temperature controlled items, it's just not common or realistic for small businesses to use them mainly due to cost. **edit** I still think the seller is 100% at fault for poor quality items/packaging. Also pretty sure she was trying to start the claim process with USPS so she wouldn't be penalized as a seller and wouldn't have to issue a refund.

I made milkshake props and both spooned it into a glass cup and piped on the “whipped cream”. The spackle wouldn’t do this, especially if it was cured properly, but also I’m wondering if she’s mixing the spackle with something and it’s not curing correctly because the formula is now changed. Either way what an asshole way to run a business 🤡

Sounds like the seller didn't feel like doing the work or USPS wasn't going to say it was their fault so they pushed it off to the customer.

I literally bought from the shop and left a review on March 29, 2024 (with a photo; you can probably find my review if you go on their etsy). I had a problem where mine arrived smushed and the corners fell off, but it was slightly malleable so I glued it on and unsquished it the best I could...I am sooooo dead, but the girl was completely right about the malleability and how fragile it was, but I am so easily impressed, thought it was a shipping issue (and hate returns), and I knew it would dry eventually.

Decoden crafters typically use a "frosting glue" (which becomes waterproof!!) or silicone caulk! If it falls under seller and customer agreed to a refund, you get the fees back and only lose the profit, so like $8 is probably what she made. By having to contact Etsy support and have an open case, your Etsy star seller badge is put in limbo, you try to do anything to avoid a customer going to Etsy directly.

With this case the clay or spackle isn’t dry clearly which would also affect it but it also looks like she doesn’t apply it right. I also make 3D tumblers and I sculpt with clay on the tumbler and the remove after it dries and then actually glue it on before continuing the process. It’s easy to skip parts like that but it highly affects the end product’s longevity.

She’s too emotionally immature as you have to be able to receive constructive criticism. That buyer was very sweet. She didn’t have to do all of that with her she could have opened a case on Etsy. She was trying to work with her. It’s embarrassing that so many hobby crafters start a shop on Etsy with zero education or research. My customer service is what gets mentioned in my reviews so often. I have a 1 year warranty lmao. I think most buyers are just shocked when reaching out to me about an issue. I’m always quick to apologize and send a replacement. That’s why I have so many return customers. It’s not rocket science. In fact if I ran an in person business I probably would be awful! I’m quick to react and emotional but I never respond immediately if I’m frustrated. Not trying to toot my own horn I’m just trying to say that it’s pretty easy if you have good customer service and good quality products. 🤷♀️
